The easy family dinner in Charleston is the one where kids can get up and move. These places have room for that, and a source that says so.
Charleston places with room for kids to run
- Holy City Brewing in Park Circle. The Post and Courier describes a big kids' area with a basketball net and giant Jenga blocks.

Pitt Street Pharmacy in Mount Pleasant has an old soda fountain inside a working pharmacy. Basic Kitchen downtown has a kids menu. Bowens Island is a fish camp at the end of an island road.
What we do not claim
We could not find one Charleston restaurant that says in public it has high chairs. So we do not list that for anyone. If you need one, that is worth a quick call before you go.
